Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

This is week 8 of Layla's treatment. She is still getting a  minimum chemo dose of 2.5% (25% of the dosage we started at) since her blood work shows low count of red and white cells. Her four days of treatment consist of Vitamin C and Taurolidine infusion along with the chemo and Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy.

Highlights of the Week

Layla got a nice surprise visit from her friend Amy. Amy flew in Thursday night (red eye flight from Long Beach). Layla woke up Friday morning and found Amy in the kitchen. AAAH!!!
Layla, Amy and Nina hung out together. They went to a comedy show in a coffee shop on Saturday and to a Cat Cafe on Sunday where you hang out with cats in need of adoption. This serves also as a way to raise funds for their adoption. Amy left back on Monday evening. Her visit coincided with my sister Cathy's visit as well. As I probably stated before, Layla has some pretty cool friends!

Comedy Time!

What can I say?

We are in Florida after all!

Spreading her Wings.

Nina feeling very much at home

Feline Time.

We also received some cool packages. Our friend Elena sent Layla a cool comfy sweater and some goodies for us. The Nabahanis made sure we are eating well and Michelle (Layla's Mother in Law) sent some fun xmas decorations and a nightshirt that made Olaf feel really good. We also received a beautiful package at home in California, we do not know who it is from. We posted a photo so it can be claimed. Thank  you all for your thoughts, well wishes and gifts.

Thank you Nikki and please thank your mom. We have enjoyed our stay very much at the timeshare. Tomorrow is our last day at the place in Pompano Beach. We will be spending xmas in Atlanta. We will leave after treatment on Thursday. The treatment over the next two weeks is only on Thursday and Friday as the clinic shuts down for the holidays. We will return to Boca Raton on December 26 to resume treatment the following day. We hope to send an update the first week of 2019.

Beautiful! Need someone to claim the credit!

Tumor Marker Update

The Tumor markers are still heading down in the right direction. The rate is slower since we have less cancer to deal with and the weekly chemo infusion has dropped by 75%. The Ca 15-3 went up slightly.
